Microsoft Renames Gears of War Studio
It seems that since Microsoft bought the Gears of War francise last year, the company has dedicated one team to focus entirely on the Gears of War franchise. Canada's Black Tusk Studios, the developer responsible for Gears of War, will have a new name: The Coalition. The name comes from the Gears of War series' Coalition of Ordered Governments, as sort of a nod to the franchise.
This team is devoted solely to Gears of War titles, and from what they've said, they expect to release a new game about every two years, and some less than spectacular content in between to fill in the gaps.
The studio head, Rod Ferguson has suggested that we will get to have a look at what they've been working on at the upcoming E3 electronics expo.
